I recently bought an iMate SP5 and updated it to the latest ROM which went very smoothly.

After having owned an SP3i before, the SP5 is my first MS smartphone that actually works together with my Bluetooth carkit. I can make and receive calls just fine. However, it will not sync the phonenumbers with the carkit although the latest ROM version should address this issue. The carkit indicates it's syncing but it never stops and I can't dial numbers from the carkit. The carkit is a factory built-in carkit in my Audi A4. Syncing works fine with several phone models from Sony Ericsson that I've tested. Anyone else experienced similar problems? I believe Parot (manufacturer of after-market carkits) has releases a special update for MS smartphone to address sync problems.

I use WIFI to connect to my home network for internet access. At first I welcomed the possibility of WPA and of course selected that. But I soon found out that the phone was very slow at connecting to my access point (USRobotics). Also data throughput (if connected at all) was very slow. I then switched back to plain old WEP and voila... No problems at all. Instant connection with the access point, much better data throughput. No problems. Anyone else had similar problems with WPA?

I still find WIFI throughput kind of slow. When using Pocket IE to connect to a website, it takes quite long to connect and also the data throughput is not up to the speed of my internet connection. If I connect to the same access point with my laptop at the same time, I get the maximum speed. When connecting the SP5 via USB to a host computer, internet access is much faster. Connecting is faster and also data throughput is much higher. Anyone else experiences this?
