Guest ssbn04 Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 I've used Ruttensoft 1.3.2 to build several different homescreens for my i-mate SP5. In each case, there is a narrow band across the bottom of the screen that remains unaffected by the design. The band is there irrespective of the size or type of the background picture. I suspect that the band is somehow "reserved space" for the soft keys in older releases of smartphones or windows mobile. Does anyone know how to remove this band and have the custom homescreen use the full display height?

I changed the soft keys colors to match the background of my skin, and this "solved" the problem. The soft keys were not the color I had chosen for the background, but were the same color as the color I had chosen to highlight menu selections. This might be a coincedence since I chose dark grey as my Highlight color. Anyway, you can always refer to my topic to see if anyone has anything new about the subject. http://www.modaco.com/Need-Help-with-Homescreen-t239592.html
Guest w411y Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 And the answer is the same here. The imate SP5 is a QVGA device and Ruttensoft is not for QVGA screens.
