Remove Roaming Indicator MPX200

I've been searching the forum for about an hour but have been unable to find an answer!

I have an AT&T branded MPX200 but was able to remove the network lock and update the firmware to a generic 2002 one - and I now use a T-Mobile SIM and I am displayed the roaming indicator.

I heard about a registry key to disable called NoRoamInd (http://webpages.charter.net/dchester/MPx220/RegistryList.htm), but this doesn't seem to do anything - leading me to believe -

a) that key actually does nothing (it is referenced to MPX220) or,

;) I am not actually writing the key to the registry, even though it looks like it (it is still there after a reboot).

Does anyone know how to get rid of the roaming indicator? I dont care how, registry, ROM or software it's just driving me crazy! Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

I tried T-Mobile and couldn't pick up a signal, try moving house until you get a signal, then the roamer should go.
