Customizing sms alert on Windows PPC 2005?

It is easy to change a ringtone to a custom one, but I cannot seem to find a way to do the same with the sms tone. Does anyone know where to install the tone so that it will show up as an option in the notification sound list? Thanks

You can add it to the main Windows folder but the tones need to be midi or wav format for notifications.
