using agile

Hi guys i have a quesiton to ask...since im new with all this PDA dealie....when i'm using agile messager what am i being charged? because i heard about all this data plan usage and gprs fee and i dont know what that means...i have the tmobile mda vario by the way...if i'm only being charged for text messages than im cool with this program so please help a noob out ;)
