WLANUtility.exe - Qtek8310 - WiFi problems - help!

Can somebody send me this .exe file ? Should be in Windows\WLANUtility catalog (unhide system files first).

It's not available in the latesr ROM verion but is very useful.

Actually it relates to my main problem with the WiFi set-up.

I have Qtek 8310 with the latest ROM for imate SP5 ( 2.6.332.1).

Using WiFi having the "connected to the network " status I can't open any www sites. Tried many times with different open access points but every time the message is :

'the page cannot be found" . I'm out of ideas .....

Can anybody help me ....what the reason of this might be ?

By the way I can easily surf on the internet while connected to the desktop via ActiveSync.

Moreover my PC desktop with the WiFi on USB doesn't see my Qtek (had no problems with my PDA which easily connected to my PC). My Qtek doesn't see my PC either?!. Don't know what to do....

Just got a new 8310 since thuesday and have the same issue here. Cannot connect via WIFI to the Internet.

Have a connection to my wireless network, hence can even ping my device (and see it in my WIFI router) but PIE only gives me the message of 'the page cannot be found'. ;) Opening local html files works though.

Have you set connection type to 'automatic' in PIE?

strangely, opera for mobile works just fine.

PIE doesn't.

I had this problem too. Its because the phone only requests the first DNS and no subsequent DNSes. however if you can find a firmware update for your wireless router this should fix the problem. just for info i have a linksys wireless router which didnt allow my qtek to access the internet even tho it had connected. i found the firmware update on their website

Make sure you connection in PIE is set to Inernet and now WAP.
