Guest rookie1082 Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 (edited) Hey guys... I got a QTEK 8300 and i recently updated my rom to the Imate Sp5m. Everything turned out fine. In the new comm manager, everything is enabled but #4 (push email i presume), and #5 (i dont know what this one is). Wifi is present but when i enable it, nothing happens. I don't get the WIFI icon at the top or it doesnt even search and come up with new networks. This started happening after i updated. I didnt realize this until now, (i updated 2 weeks ago), because i haven't had to use wifi until recently. Anyone else have this problem? A reset and taking out the battery didnt work... I don't really want to cold reset my phone, as i dont want to lose all my programs. Edited April 17, 2006 by rookie1082

AFAIK, 4 and 5 are not available until you set other things up like an exchange server address in activesync settings etc. And as for wi-fi, not heard of your issue, BUT, you can always press the "settings" softkey while in the comm manager, and then go into wi-fi settings that way, and get it to add a new connection. Try that and let us know...
Guest thenext1 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 please take a look at my other topic regarding the SP5m and wifi http://www.modaco.com/SP5m-enabling-Wi-Fi-...wn-t239675.html there may be a connection
Guest rookie1082 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I just did a cold reset on my phone, backed up my programs and files before hand, and everything seems to be working fine, now. I guess it was just a mishap with the update, or something.
