Read Asia Charactor on C600 / how to back up ROM

Recently I purchased SPV C600 with WM5 english version. I have some music that are Asia Charator but after installed I cannot see the letter or words :P . Is there anyone that has solutions to guide me how to make this work? ;)

I hear that I need to flash the rom to I-mate SP5, is that really work?

If yes, before I get start, can anyone help me how to backup C600 ROM in case something goes wrong?

I am new to this, and need step by steps instruction if there is any out there.
