SMT5600-headset via mini USB?

Hey guys,

quick one for ya. I just bought the Motorola Slvr for me wife and it came w/ ear buds for the mini usb on it. I tried to use them on my SMT5600 and it wouldn't work. Is there an option or hack that will allow the phone to use it?

I would rather use the Slvr headset because it has great sound quality, comfort and just all out nicer than the packaged earbud for audiovox.

Any suggesties are welcome!!!

Ok, found a topic on headphones via mini usb on howardforums and it said to use "Smartione" or other "reg edit" to apply connection manually. I went to download Smartione and was sent into a French forum. WTF!!!! Is it not available for freeware anymore. If so, does anybody have a link for another registry editor freebie?
