Guest welshgaz Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Im having rpoblems syncing my Wizard. I've done it loads of times beofre so theres no problem there. I've recently installed McAfee Security Suite and since then I've been unable to connect. The orange light on the Wizard lights to show that there is a connetion (charging) and Activesync program on the PPC shows 'connecting', but nothing on the PC. On initially plugging in it an icon pops up in the taskbar area about a new local area connection, and then it goes and thats it! I've tried setting the firewall exactly as specified in the MS help page but it doesnt help! AS version 4.1 (build 4841). Please help, I dont like risking not backing my data up from the PPC. Guest fraser Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Turn off the firewall (disconnect from the net first) and try that. If it works, then you know where the problem is. My guess is that the MS help page isn't very detailed or up-to-date. Go a link to it?
