Guest ljcharie Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Have had a few of the usual niggles - Battery life, crashing blah blah..... But this time I've really had it. The phone says it Can't find the HDD. It has wiped everything off the HDD, and says it is not there. I can't seem to find it either thru my PC or on the phone itself. Any one had this issue? Know how to fix it? I've tried doing the hard resets, and it is still not there when you try to access it. The camera cannot access it and asks me to use extra storage (transflash) or else will not take photos. Right before the problem I had the 'disk drive full' issue that I hear so much about. I have spoken to 02 who will fix it but they take over a week - and samsung take 10 days. I could also get a replacement handset - but it would be reconditioned- meaning I would only have a 3month warranty. Any ideas welcomed! Thanks.
Guest Tech Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 it is a known issue, not that I have had it myself as I do not have the device - all this is to the whole "Hard disk is full" error. I think most of us knew there would be such problems on having a hard disk on the mobile device but lets not get into this ;) as you have said you have tried to do a hard reset and it still doesnt find it? most likely could be down to the hardware - the hard reset as you may know - it sets everything back to the default factory settings - so even if you do this and you still get the problem, to me, means that it is actually a hardware fault :P You wouldnt happen to get any messages saying to format the drive or anything when you boot up the device?
