Guest francesco303 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 my car got towed yesterday by hackney council, im lodging an appeal and luckily got some supporting footage on my spv c550. iv got the mp4 onto my computer and after lots of messing with codecs have got it playing without sound on wmp. cant seem to convert it to mpeg1 though. any ideas for getting it onto dvd? help appreciated, it could save me
Guest Tech Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 yeh its pretty much a special format - to convert to MPEG1 you need an encoder like TMPGEnc which will usually do the job however be warned that the quality will not be great at all! ;) it is probably best to convert it to WMV really and then give the council the CD or whatever. Sorry to ask, but is there actually sound on the original file on the mobile phone when you recorded it? :P
Guest mini_man Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 I use Quicktime Pro 7 it has the capability to convert mpeg4 videos taken with my smartphone to raw uncompressed .avi. I downloaded a hack off the internet because im too cheap to pay for it ;)
