help on AIM

is there an AOL (AIM) program out there that i can download that will charge me only for TEXT MESSENGING not DATA PLAN or wahetav it is....I'm from the US and i need a program for my mda vario and i have the unlimited text plan so i just want to know if there is an AIM program for this

I think the new MSN Beta might do that; it has an offline chat mode IIRC. If you need an invite, pop over to the off-topic forum, there's a thread in there. Only thing is, I reckon that while you could reply for free, the person you are chatting to will need to buy MSN credits.
