Guest Webreaper Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 Never fails to amaze me why people write more and more battery monitor apps for PPC. I mean, every single app in the entire world seems to have a battery monitor in it. Is there really such a need for so many?!?! :P My biggest problem is to try and keep the number of battery monitors on-screen down to a reasonable number (currently Resco Today Plugin, the WM5 ROM top bar icon, and vBar's battery indicator....). Chances of me ever needing a specific battery plugin is pretty slim!!! ;)
Guest exosyphen Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 Webreaper : First of all, I wrote the application for personal needs. I wanted a battery monitor that doesn't use up my PPC resources. The plugin is less the 20Kb, and uses under 20Kb of memory. It was pretty annoying for me, to waste up to 500Kb of memory and resources, for cool graphics I didn't needed. My PPC Phone Edition, had no battery monitor at all ... and I had to go to the Control Panel, all the time.
