V1240 ROM Update

I got my hands on a Vodafone V1240 to test out the Push Email from our Exchange 2003 SP2 server.

However, it seems that it is lacking the MSFP or AKU2 (same thing?!?), so I can Active-Sync to update, but it won't "Push".

i-Mate seem to have released a ROM update for their SP5, which I believe is the same phone, but I can't seem to get an answer out of Vodafone as to when, if ever, they will release a ROM update fo the 1240.

I got that phone because on the Microsoft Mobile site it lists it under Vodafone as being ready for Direct Push, so I am a little cheesed off at present.

Does anybody know if Vodafone are planning a ROM update, or if I may be able to use the SP5 ROM successfully from i-Mate?

Many thanks in advance.

Must be someone on the forum who works at Vodafone that might have an idea if there will be the update? So many other phones seem to be getting the update.

I never get any response from using the "contact us" bit on the vodafone website

Both the imate SP5 and Qtek 8310 ROMs will install on the v1240 as I've done it, but I'm now trying to find a v1240 rom to go back onto my phone as it's now developed a fault which isn't caused by the firmware strangely.

There's a guide on how to do it on here somewhere if you do a search. ;)
