WM5 Internet Explorer problem

NB. I previously posted this in software applications section but thought it might be more suited to this one...

I have Windows Mobile 5 on my Vodafone v1240 along with the ClearVue suite so that I can view PDFs etc. But when I try to download a PDF on IE it just gives me "This file cannot be viewed on the device."

I've tried explicitly associating PDFs with the ClearVue PDF executeable and it still doesn't work.

...I would have thought that for unassociated files there would at least be a way to download them to a specified folder, no?...

Am I missing something? Any suggestions much appreciated 8)

Its pocket internet explorer thats the problem, it doesnt allow downloads of anything that isnt media based. Have you tried using opera?

Haven't tried opera, will do. Looking on their site, do I want the WM5 pocket PC version? It seems they don't have a WM5 version for smartphone yet - only got 2003...
