Hi,

Well I'm not so much of a newbie but could do with a few good pointers ;)

I've just picked up a T-Mobile SDA (SP5m) from the USA and will be bringing it back to the UK. I want to use it on Orange, so :

1. Am I best off using the Orange AKU2 firmware, to keep with all the MMS / GPRS settings (assuming it works with the SP5m, keys / Wifi etc.) ??

2. Or should I go with the Imate SP5m firmware, and find out all the settings (I currently have a C600)

3. Or should I keep the T-Mobile firmware on there and update it, changing out all the settings ??

Any help would be much appreciated !!

Thanks

Jason.

If it was me I would load the imate rom and input the orange settings. There's less rubbish packed and you might even find someone who will let you have a copy of the orange cab for the device from clubimate.

well one thing is sure, don't try the orange update, their new firmware prevent regeditstg to be signed (it has been blacklisted!!)

means: no regedit, no decert, no unlocking!
