newbie: how the heck do you download files or attachments?

Just signed up, and I'm so confused with the way this board works..

I'm trying to download the files from the freeware download area and I always get the error message:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

Is there something obvious i'm missing????

paul i can't donwload any thing in files attached in any posts!

tried this link for exemple:

osx skin

and i got a:

Just to confirm I'm getting the same... even with Firewall off

It's working ok for me at the moment but Paul is working on the downloads section at the moment.

I can not see an obvious reason why you should be having the errors.

EDIT just a thought try refreshing your cache as the link above not from the new download section, this is what you should be seeing,
