cant delete a file on the storage card

I am using a Cingular 2125. The other day I downloaded a ring tone and instead of saving it to the main memory, I saved it to my storage card. I want to get rid of it now, but I cant delete the file using mobile explorer or active sync software. I get the message failed to delete....

Can someone please help. It doesnt make sense to me. I even tried cutting the file and pasting it to the main phone memory and deleting it from there... but when I cut it.. the file just gets copied and not cut, after which I am able to delete it from the main memory but it is still on my storage card!!

try restarting soft resetting your phone off/on in case something still has it open...then try to delete. If that doesnt work, pop the card out, plug it into your pc card reader and delete from there.
