SP5/8310 as modem over USB

I remember with the old rom, if i activated modem link, the laptop would detect the phone and set it up as a modem. Now i find it's showing up as 'Generic Serial' and not able to find the driver.

I've tried the HTC WM5 USB modem driver thats floating around, but it says that its not the right driver. Very strange, am i missing something?

EDIT:

Opps, my mistake. Originally i had installed the driver from the CD. Since then i've re-installed this laptop. I was thinking nothing has changed except the ROM, but obviously that wasnt true!

I used the CD again and it works.
