C500 - Push Email

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but is Push Email possible on the C500?

If not as standard, how about with any ROM updates, or even an upgrade to WM5?

may be possible with an upgrade 2 wm5 but otherwise no

It is possible, but not simple. You need an exchange server still and either your own sms service from the server or sign up for an email to sms gateway and use that to send the trigger text to your phone each time a new email arrives. You have to pay for the texts and all they do is to trigger a sync whenever your device receives one. You don't see the texts.

But its actually simpler to set your activesync to check for new mail every 30 minutes.

Cheers - I agree, the simplest way would be to set the mail client to pick up new email every 30 mins or so - and with flat rate GPRS, hardly an issue!
