Guest zahid123 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 They should do ;) i tried the settings that you gave me but they seem to not work, as it will say that "the page you are looking for cannot be found" and when i try going on msn messenger through my phone it will say " sevrive is unable you to connect. plez try later". can som1 help me owt.
Guest martin Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 zahid123 The 'page not found' error is possibly due to the proxy settings. Try deleting all existing dialup, GPRS and proxy settings and then re-enter only the GPRS/proxy settings for WAP. Makw sure you are accessing HTML pages like www.google.com (proxy port 8080 will give 'page not found' with WML pages) You should only need the following setup to access the internet. GPRS connection: Description: Orange WAP Connects to: The internet Access point: wap.o2.co.uk (payandgo.o2.co.uk) Username: o2wap (payandgo) Password: password Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 I.P address: Proxy connection: Description: Orange WAP proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: Wap Network Proxy(name:port): 193.113.200.195:8080 Type: HTTP Username: Password: In the main data connections menu. Guest miriam Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Hi I got my new SVPC550 today to replace my C500 which had been locking up on O2 when sending messages., I am hoping that the C550 won't have the same software bug, I waded through these settings above today (thanks) but am NOT on pay as you go.. do the same settings hold for a pay monthly sim as they appear not to be working.. thanks and all help VERY VERY gratefully received as O2 will now not give out settings for orange smartphones. Miriam ( presently with 3 phones and none of them working properly :) )
Guest jonty Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 OK, it could be me but...... I've installed all the settings for SPV on O2(contract) as above, internet seems to be working but the problem is MMS. O2 confirmed my account is set up for MMS. It tries to send, G signal with 4 bars comes up top right, but after a while my outbox is shown with the icon of an envelope with a clock,. It then retries another two times and then I get an error message: - "unable to send" Any help would be great, thanks
