Guest NRecob Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) Anyone know how to easily free up system memory on the TMobile SDA (I've got the one with the hump)? I don't want to go in and blindly start deleting files and folders--with my luck I'd delete some file that would make the phone stop working.... Is there a specific folder(s) I need to keep cleaning? Additionally, yes, I already have the "Save temporary files on storage card" box checked under File Manager \Temp>Menu>Options>Temporary Files. Also, is there an easier/faster way to check "Available Storage" without going thru the Start>Settings>More>About every time? What a PITA (I've already tried add on software like "BatteryBar" for whatever reason it down't seem to want to work on my phone--besides, I LOVE that iPhone OSX skin that showed up recently: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=dscrip...tails&f_id=1408 Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! I thought I wouldn't have this problem anymore since I added a 1GB memory card but this problem is back ;) This running out of memory looks to be this phone's Achilles heel.... TIA! Guest awarner (MVP) Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Be patient I was going through older threads and was looking to answer yours shortly. Ok now back on topic, have a look at these two threads and they may help you in your quest. http://www.modaco.com/C600_Storage_Memory-t237803.html http://www.modaco.com/IMPORTANT_Pocket_IE_...ch-t231188.html

I've already done all the obvious stuff (saving pictures to my storage card etc) but I'm still running out of memory on this phone ;) Edited April 27, 2006 by NRecob
Guest thenext1 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Me too have sort of this problem! I was running fine with 12mb available memory. Some time ago I ran the Opera installation on the PC and let activesync put the Opera.cab file on the phone memory and start the installation, then I canceled it before selecting the destination (because the listbox where you put the destination misteriously wasn't getting focus and I couldn't select "external memory"). After that, now I have only 3mb of free storage and I can't what's eating it... deleting temp files in IE and Opera doesn't fix it.... I also tried to search for *.* files with resco explorer and sorted them by size.... all significant files are already on the storage card... I smell.... bug!! ;) HELP!!!
