Hey I just got a SPV C550 From england and bought it over to israel. Unlocked it (thanks for the software) and put in my sim card, i have an orange (israeli) sim card and i just cant figure out the GPRS settings its so god damn annoying ive checked evreyware on the internet called up orange and i cant find nothing. if anybody has heard of a site or heard of a way or knows how to do it, im so despprate id pay for the information ;) PLEASE HELP ME!!

I don't think this in the settings repository but you could try the below and hopefully it should work ;)

Test both 'Internet over GPRS' and 'WAP over GPRS' and let us know what errors you get for both.

* First delete all existing dialup, proxy and GPRS connections *

Internet over GPRS

Settings-Data Connections

Menu-Edit Connections

GPRS connections

Menu-Add

Description: GPRS Internet

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: internet

In Settings - Data connections

Internet Connection: GPRS Internet

In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections

Untick 'Auto detect settings'

Set 'Select network: 'The Internet'

Try and connect to www.google.com

WAP over GPRS

Settings-Data Connections

Menu-Edit Connections

Proxy connections

Menu-Add

Create GPRS connection.

Description: GPRS WAP

Connects to: The Internet

APN: wap.orange.co.il

Username: orange

password: mobile54

Done, Done

Create proxy connection

Description: WAP Proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: WAP network

Proxy (name:port): 192.118.11.55:8080

Done, Done, Done

In Settings - Data connections

WAP connection: GPRS WAP

In Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections

Untick 'Auto detect settings'

Set 'Select network: WAP network'

Try and connect to www.google.com

MMS over GPRS

GPRS connection:

Description: GPRS MMS

Connects to: Secure WAP network

APN: wap.orange.co.il

Username: orange

password: mobile54

In Data connections make 'Secure WAP Network: GPRS MMS'

Start-Messaging-Media Messages

Menu-Options-Account Setup-Media Messages

Menu- Edit connections - Menu- Add

Menu>Edit connections

Menu-Add

Description: GPRS MMS

MMSC Address: http://192.168.220.15/servlets/mms

Data Connection: Secure WAP Network

Gateway: WAP 2.0 Gateway

I.P Address: 192.118.11.55

Port: 8080

Done, Done

Server: GPRS MMS

Download Messsages: automatically

Outgoing message size: less than 100kb

Allowed message types: personal

thanks so much for youre help:

1.Internet over GPRS: dosent work says: "unable to connect..."

2.WAP over GPRS: works fine only tested google but i guess it dosent matter

3.MMS over GPRS:didnt understand what to do got stuck at:"Menu-Options-Account Setup-Media Messages

Menu- Edit connections - Menu- Add" (sorry)

p.s.i have a c500 should i try it also

p.s.s.if you ever need help for testing things in israel id love to help
