Guest Rhinestone Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) Every so often my C600 displays a message about being unable to find a file called "Autoprof". It says this file is missing or there is not enough memory to perfom the function. This has occurred after a reboot with no applications running on the phone. A reboot of the phone USUALLY sorts it out but by the time this message is displayed it usually entails rebooting by removing the battery as I am unable to remove the keylock. The phone seems terribly sluggish prior to this error appearing I have tried doing a hard reset to no avail and am possibly upgrading to the newer ROM from the orange website. Ive had a look round the site and have performed several searches to find any previously posted info but there does not appear to be any. Can anyone tell me what this file is and or what it does? Is there any way to stop this from occuring? Thanking you in advance Edited April 26, 2006 by Rhinestone

A critical component is either missing or failing to due to low memory." This is the 1st time I've seen it. What else I noticed yesterday was the phone kept switching the profile from normal to headset at this time the phone was being quite sluggish. I suspect there may be a problem with the 2.5mm jack socket on the phone causing it constantly switch profiles & in-turn, either crash the component or eat up all the available memory. Tell me, did you get any where with this problem? and were you using or have you been using a wired headset? Regards, Steve.

It is something to do with profile switching as indicated here but I can't advise how to avoid the problem - perhaps a post to the above forum could shed more light? HTH Vishal...
