Guest Brins0 Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hiya, i'm sorta new here... been registered for about 6 months, not really made any posts, so hiya... Anywho... I'm pretty certain this hasn't been asked before, so here we go: With WM5 using Flash ROM, people have been complaining about the drop in r/w speeds onto it. What are the different speeds (on average) for transfering a 1Mb file to these major memory types? RAM Flash ROM SD MiniSD Compact Flash I'm asking this, coz when my HTC wizard arrives in a few days, i wanna know wether i should bother running applications off the Flash ROM, or whether to just use a MiniSD card. Is there a any difference between RAM and Flash RAM speeds that would actually effect applications loading time substantially?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I always prefer to install everything to the storage card to save space on the device. It's unlikely you would realy see that much of a difference between the card and the device storage. PS your avatar hurts my eyes ;) :P ;)
Guest Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 yeah I also try to install as much as I can on the storage card. You will come accross some things that need to go on the phone memory so best leave that as free as you can. enjoy the phone!!
