Streaming mp3 what software ?

What software is best for streaming mp3 from desktop to ppc ?

At the moment I use network browser and map my network so it now shows a network folder under my device which lets me access my desktop mp3's in my music software but the mp3's will only play on tcpmp and not in windows media player.

Has anybody got streaming mp3's on windows media player and what software do you use ?

Also how would I be able to access my mp3's when not in the house ?

Have not been able to get any remote control software to work yet.
