Ringtones don't stop

Hi I have WMA ringtones for calls on my C600 but when I set the same for SMS tones it doesn't stop untill the song is played all the way through, How do I fix this I want it to stop when I read the message.

Edit the ringtone down to ten seconds in length? That will save a lot of storage and a lot of processor time.
