Guest MetalMessiah78 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Can someone please help me? I need the original ms_mobile.gif file from the T-Moble SDA running WM5. I downloaded a theme that replaced the original file, and even after deleting the theme, the original ms_mobile.gif file was not restored. Thank you in advance.
Guest MetalMessiah78 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) The ms_mobile.gif file is in the Windows folder. Thank you. Edited May 1, 2006 by MetalMessiah78

Guest hyedipin Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 I actually tried before, to get it for you, but I think it identifies itself as SYSTEM file to the windows, and when you move it to XP it disappears for some reason.. I thought it was only in my system, but I tried agian didn't happen.. I will restart, and I assume it will come back, then I will post it for you, weird that nobody could give you the file... I agree..
Guest hyedipin Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) got it.. here you go just save it as .gif this is what I got as ms_mobile.gif in my folder (that identifed as protected, that's why it wasn't showing up!!!) ;) Good Luck. Edited May 8, 2006 by hyedipin
Guest MetalMessiah78 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Thank you hyedipin. I appreciate it. For some reason I remember it having a T-Mobile Logo though, cause that's the one that I had. I thought that the homescreen designer I was using over wrote the file and replaced it with that. If that is the original logo, then I guess I must be thinking of something else. I actually attempted to recreate what I thought it looked like, and I came up with this. Thanks for your help though. I wonder why no one else wanted to help me. got it.. here you go just save it as .gif this is what I got as ms_mobile.gif in my folder (that identifed as protected, that's why it wasn't showing up!!!) ;) Good Luck.
Guest hyedipin Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Yeah, sorry pal, this is what I got in my ms_mobile. Maybe t-mobile used a different name for it?
Guest MetalMessiah78 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I'm not sure, but I kind of like mine. Feel free to use it if you like it. Yeah, sorry pal, this is what I got in my ms_mobile. Maybe t-mobile used a different name for it?
Guest hyedipin Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 My phone doesn't even display it anywhere.. ;) Probably because of the skin I am using.. I don't know. :P
Guest dleasman Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 The ms_mobile.gif file is in the Windows folder. Thank you. I think this is the one you want... It's called "BrandingBrick.gif" on the original firmware, not ms_mobile.gif, which is the white "smartphone" on blue that someone else already posted. Rightclick above image, and select "save picture as"
Guest MetalMessiah78 Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 hyedipin - I think that's what happened to me too. I changed the skin and I was left with the one that you posted. Interesting. Maybe that's the default one for the Smartphone, and the one that dleasman posted is the one that T-Mobile made. I think this is the one you want... It's called "BrandingBrick.gif" on the original firmware, not ms_mobile.gif, which is the white "smartphone" on blue that someone else already posted. Rightclick above image, and select "save picture as" dleasman - I think that might have been it. Is that the one that you see when you click the answer button on your phone from the home screen? Thanks for posting it.
Guest hyedipin Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 I just noticed this when I started using MSFP Device Emulator, realized that it says Smartphone on top of "contacts" and on mine it says "T-Mobile"... :)
