C600 and A2DP range and quality

Guys i have done the hack for A2DP and i have flashed the c600 with the latest imate SP5 rom and use the phone with the latest nokia HS-12W stereo audio headset.

It works great when the phone is near ie in my pocket, if i move more than a meter away the signal drops out all the time, also i have an annoying hiss all the time when connected, is this normal ??

I also read but not sure as i cant find it again that the C600 has bluetooth 1.1 and the SP5 has 1.2 could this be causing the problem??
