Guest Tech Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 lol yes. firstly you shouldnt be invading anyone's privacy - against the law without their consent. secondly, as sugguested, get a good lawyer. thirdly, no there is no software (yet) from which you can recover deleted sms's even after deleting the "deleted items" folder - maybe someone knows if there is?
Guest dcushley Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 As someone who has been through this crap recently, you are better off not reading them, I read a lot of crap my wife received and sent, and I wish I hadnt, it wont help you get a divorce, as its invasion of privacy, and it willl just make you feel crap.
Guest jimbouk Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Well said! As the guy seems sure she is fooling around and that she is receiving texts from the other bloke - why bother reading the content? Unless of course, where he lives its legal to shoot the other fella - and he just wants to find out his name.
Guest bradmatejo Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 While there's no way to retrieve the messages off the phone, it's my understanding that SMSes are cached on the telco's servers for a couple days. Gaining access to them though, even to your own messages, is FBI search warrant type stuff. Basically, ain't no way it's gonna happen for you. I believe there have been some criminal cases here in the States where the police used cached SMSes as evidence (the perp of course thought they were gone when deleted from the phone).
