outlook email management on WM5

Is there an easy way to remove email from my WM5 device without having activesync remove it from outlook?

I currently do not automatically sync email, but occationally I would like to get unread email when I am away from my desk or out of the office and expecting something. In this case I manully sync email directly with the exchange server and that works fine.

What I don't like about my current setup is that unread email still automatically gets synced through activesync including any emails that come in while my phone is connected to my PC. This is a little annoying, but I can live with it.

The real problem comes when I want to remove the email from my WM5 device, but want to leave it in outlook. Selecting remove from WM5 removes the item from outlook on the PC as well. This is no good. Any suggestions?

well that is the whole point on syncing with outlook and your mobile device.

I could suggest you use GPRS to access your email account then if you delete it on your email account, you will still have a copy on your outlook.

Dude , i think you mean POP ....GPRS is the connection, POP is the mail protocol that "dumps" your mail on your device with no sync features at all....
