Guest megahead34 Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I got a brand new T-mobile SDA and noticed that the battery life sucks. Without that much usage, very little WiFi, i had to recharge the battery every night. Is this normal? When i first recieved the phone, i went to charge the battery and it came green after 10 mins, so i didn't leave it to charge for 2 or 3 hours. Did i damage the battery that way? Please help, thanks.

When I just got my Qtek 8310 (same battery) I charged it completely before first use. Without bluetooth or WiFi on, I also needed to charge it every day. Now after a few months, with bluetooth always on, it last for 2 days. Its strange but it's really true. Keep battery as full as possible for some weeks and then it should be fine. So I don't think you damaged your battery. Please let me know if this worked. If you need a spare battery, search on Ebay on Dopod battery. I bought 2 for 20 euro inclusive postage to Holland (from Taiwan)

I'm not sure if you broke the battery, however I can tell you I can go at least a day with moderate bluetooth and EDGE/GPRS usage without a problem. 2 days is a bit of a stretch, though.
Guest hyedipin Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 (edited) Just keep charging it, it has a weird cycle, sometimes discharges quickly. Remember, SDA'a battery will only last 2 hours on WiFi or GPRS, browsing or transferring anything continuously. Otherwise, standby time should be pretty good. Just carry the USB cable with you, and charge it wherever you see a PC ;) I keep it plugged to my laptop and it just keeps charging. Here is a scan from the manual, enjoy your SDA, because I am! :P I just ordered 1 GB miniSD Edited May 4, 2006 by hyedipin

Guest megahead34 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Thanks for the replies. Yea, i was using a lil WiFi on and off. I'll try it and see how it goes without WiFi. So from what i am hearing, average is every two days.
Guest Gasman2 Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I got a brand new T-mobile SDA Hi - When did you get this and if recently, where from? T-Mobile keep saying they're out of stock!
Guest chaznet Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 CompUSA still should have some in stock. The iMate web site has them...
