Guest ljames28 Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Its just a qtek 8310/imate sp5, any of the roms on here for them should work fine.
Guest sporkguy Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 the O2 XDA IQ hasn't fully reached the UK market just yet - so I doubt anyone has a copy of the ROM. We shall see though ;)
Guest ljames28 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 When i tried to get o2 so sell me the XDA IQ they told me it didnt exist...so i agree sporkguy ;)
Guest loki_f Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 even though the IQ is in all their catalogues and on the XDA microsite?
Guest ljames28 Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Thats o2 for you, they dont just tell you they dont have the phone...they tell you it doesnt exist and your wrong, how very kind of them ;)
Guest theodotcom Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 i called them today about getting an xda iq on my upgrade and was told they have them in but they just havent put them on the system yet, was told to call friday.
Guest frisbee5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I work for an independent mobile phone store. Ordered them on Tuesday, arrived Wednesday. Working brilliantly and supplied with AKU2 as standard. Should have push email working on Monday. Any questions, let me know! Frisbee
Guest joshysquashy Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 What is the battery life like? whats it like with wifi switched on?
Guest conan_troutman Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 the O2 XDA IQ does not exist and that is fact or according to O2 customer services is is when i requested help setting up MMS and GPRS for O2 Active. How ever I am glad to say if your ring the XDA shop (O2s Own shop) you can buy A car kit for the O2 Xda IQ as I have just done for my Qtek 8310. So lets see whose right and whose wrong as I am either gonna spend the next few month tring to get a data conaction that shuts down after you send an MMS but can then reopen again to allow a second message to be sent. or I just bought the wrong Firkin car kit. lol
Guest p2daz Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I had the same thing last year when i tried to get a Vodafone VPA on a contract, it was in the shops at one point and in sales literature, but when i went to actually get my mits on it -'no we don't stock it' was the answer i got everytime (even from a family member who works in a Vodafone service centre)It was extremely frustrating and i wasted a lot of time and money on phone calls trying to get one. In the end i finished my contract early and went to O2 and the xda mini s. I just don't think the sales staff are kept up to date with new products and unless they or their mates are using a certain type of phone then it doesn't exist <_<
