HTC prophet/orange spvm600 newbie:

I've installed a few trial apps, decided i don't need them and am trying to uninstall:

pocketbreeze

ilauncher

to uninstall i went to settings, remove programs, and selected them. They no longer appear on the remove programs list but both apps are still in programs and still run.

How do i uninstall them - i suspect that just deleting the directories is going to cause chaos.

I have one of these, the only way i have found to get rid of some apps is to hard reset the unit, this performs a format of the DOC and removes any installed programs. Only problem is you have to re-install the ones you like

What likely happened is that the files were in use when you uninstalled. If SKTools can't do it, try this:

1) turn off all Today plugins

2) reboot

3) reinstall dodgy programs

4) reboot

5) turn off any new Today plugins that the install activated

6) reboot

7) use the uninstall program

8) reboot

9) manually delete files

sktools only seemed to pick up the items that were in the list that the device picked up. i'd not done a lot of customisation so i did a hard reset.

when installing the two apps i did want from the desktop i noticed there was a 'desktop' uninstall button. maybe i'll try that if i need to get rid of something in future
