SP5m Battery Cover Replacement: Dubai Only

I finally heard from someone on getting a replacement battery cover -- a shocker that you have to send your entire phone off to Dubai to get a replacement for the battery compartment cover.

With the phone market changing, more people are buying unlocked phones from non-carrier sources -- hopefully phone reviews will start to include info on repair service -- it's worth at least half a star to know I'll be shipping my phone to another country for something like this:

I just bought a spare battery cover for my SDA from Ebay for $15 shipped from someone in the UK. I suggest you try there.

Don't suppose you remember what you searched on that brought it up...? I narrowed it down to just 'sda' or 'sp5m' and couldn't find it. I did find what looks like nice leather case to prevent that kind of damage:

wont it be the same size as a C550 cover?

I know it will be a different colour but you could just spray paint it.

Ive got three spair battery covers for my old C550 which i dont need as i dont have a C550 anymore.

Is it worth a shot?

They should be the same, but that really shouldn't be the point. You need a spare, you think they could post it anywhere in the world!!

It's the little things like this that is stopping the smartphone manufacturers from really hitting the big time...

Colour's different, shape's different, mounting lugs are different......won't fit :-(

Trying to get parts for sp5m but having a few issues with suppliers / ebay anyway so will let you know...

by the way you had any more thoughts about testing a Spectec wifi mini sd card with the C600.

I remember you mentioning in a post that you kind of had a C600 and you being willing to test one.
