Guest drblow Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Help! I have been looking for something that will help me stay up to date with live formula 1 on my M600. I work almost every weekend, & never get to watch qualifying or races in their entirety. I have been looking at the TV streaming apps for ppc, but none would appear to have anything that would show formula 1. I found a few old apps that seemed designed to give you up to the minute reports over gprs, but cannot download them as they appear to be unavailable. Can anyone even recommend a website that is ppc viewable, that would give live results of qualy & racing? Or am I just going to have to buy a handheld TV??
Guest fraser Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 If you can live without video, I'm sure the BBC Sport website is fairly decent. If there are no public streams, you could make one just for your own use. The idea is that you have a TV tuner or video-in card which you record the channel yourself and stream it to a player. There's a couple of tools to do this, but you'd need a decent broadband connection. Check this thread for a previous discussion: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=237972&hl=
Guest fraser Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 You could just of course assume that Schumacher won...you'd be correct most of the time ;)
Guest drblow Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Ah, a formula one cynic?? ;) Ok, so he won the last 2 races ... but at least it's not quite so predictable as 2 years ago.
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 I'm going to send Montoya a bung just to take Schumaker off the track. Anyone else wanna chip in
Guest drblow Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 ;) While he's at it he could slam Jack Villeneuve into a wall or 2.
Guest Confucious Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Having thought similar about Ayrton Senna - you tend to change your mind when it actually happens....
Guest fraser Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I'm just gutted that us Scots can't use the "Ayr Town Centre" joke as it is lost on most children these days. I only have a limited supply of "kid-safe" jokes here...
Guest Confucious Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Heavy. Ity was rather wasn't it - very unlike me! Sorry! And fraser - :groan:
Guest drblow Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 :P I love the Ayr town centre gag! @ Confucious - I was only kidding really! ;)
Guest Confucious Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 :P I love the Ayr town centre gag! Don't say that! You'll only encourage him. ;)
