Guest Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 lo all on me prophet sometimes it seem to switch to landscape mode all by tself, this only happens when I'm using it and at the today screen but I've no idea what stylus move or button tap I'm doing. Is there a shortcut or is it a bug? if anyoe knows please let me know!! cheers gerryR
Guest Shuflie Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Bottom right on the screen should have a little icon that looks like a pda with a stylus on it. That switches the screen orentation. Perhaps your little finger is curling over onto the screen and touching it?
Guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 thanks for the reply Shuflie! I don't seem to have that icon, I wonder does it vary from Rto Rom? I'm using the push mail Qtek S200 rom if that makes a differ? thanks gerryR
Guest Shuflie Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) That's strange, I thought all WM2003SE and WM05 devices had it as standard. Try clicking just above the bottom menu bar on the right of the screen to see if anything happens, the icon might be there but just not visible for some reason. I don't have a prophet device so I'm not gong to be of much further help to you. EDIT: had a quick look on xda developers and it seems that there is no onscreen icon for the prophet, but it can be switched from portrait to landscape by using a hardware button. Look in settings/buttons to see if you have a button assigned to . Edited May 8, 2006 by Shuflie
Guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 thanks for checking that Shuflie! I didn't have a button set to do that but I do now (never use the record voice anyway) thanks again! gR
