Guest B!ackhawk Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I have just installed it all on working fine except it will not detect my gps receiver I have a Dell BT309 but when i start tomtom i tells me cannot find the gps but i have found it on my phone under bluetooth OK sorry if this has been asked but i could not find an answer to this
Guest jutley Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 ok what device are you using and what vershon of tomtom and is your phone fully app unlocked and have you setup seriel ports ie outgoing seriel port on com 7 try this
Guest jutley Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 try this go back into bluetoothe manager delete the gps device and search again when it finds it it will ask you if you want to add a seriel port and click yes once done look for seriel port setting in bluetoothe manager and try set it to outgoing com 6 or com 7 and then select other gps device in the tomtom prefrences in gps status good luck

Guest B!ackhawk Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 well i just tried com 7 and it lock up still not finding gps downloaded the file from orange dev page to unlock phone placed it on my storage card & when i run it it just blinks on & off so dont know what to do now

Guest robster30 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Hi there, Jutley is the man when i comes to problems here chap i can assure you gave me plenty of help but i have a C600 with 5.2 you need to configure your gps to outgoing com 6 and then it should see it when you select other gps in tomtom menu. Hope this helps
Guest furioso Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Have you tried renaming your dell gps to BT GPS and then searching again? I had this problem to, and then I renamed my gps (I have an Adapt 16-channel nemerix) to BT GPS and it worked fine ;)
