Guest Confucious Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Whenever I try and download a cab file from modaco from pocket ie (on my Exec) it downloads it as index.php - you can change the file name but not the extention. If I use firefox or ie on my pc it downloads correctly. If I download cabs from other sites they download correctly. An example can be found here http://www.modaco.com/Latest-Version-t205779.html - from my pc it works, from my Exec it doesn't. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just me? Is there a solution? Thanks
Guest CaptainZok Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Same thing on my MDA Pro, I notice the exe files on that page do the same thing. Wonder if its a problem with the site?
Guest sporkguy Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 I think its to do with PIE's inability to process PHP redirects to different files. Have you tried in Opera Mini?

Guest sporkguy Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 So what you're saying is that this site isn't written with PIE in mind?.... Rather, PIE isn't made with PHP standards in mind.
Guest Confucious Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Rather, PIE isn't made with PHP standards in mind. This is a site for PPCs and Smartphones which all come with PIE yet it doesn't work with PIE? And you're saying it's Microsoft's fault? Hmmm.....

Hmmm..... Again - no, I'm saying IPB was made with Web standards in mind. If PIE doesn't comform to these standards, then its hardly IPB's fault that MS made a crap browser for Windows Mobile. Have you TRIED Opera mini/mobile yet?
Guest Laser_iCE Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 There was another thread about this, and I tried and it didn't work, however, I haven't tried with 8.60 yet... However, I don't think it will work. Perhaps a "Lite" version of the download section would be appropriate :)
