Guest mcsquared Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 hi, i have a c600 that worked fine with my tomtom 5.2 and me being foolish decided to update the rom using the orange website, now tomtom hangs on the 'i agree' screen before crashing out, ive read all about emailing the developers and installing the imate rom and that seems pretty severe. with tomtom being a pretty much A grade program surely orange havent banned it from running on the c600? can anyone tell me in laymans terms how to get it running as it used to or is emailing the developers the only option? thanks for your time mike
Guest robster30 Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Hi mike, Ok ill try but i'm not an expert, firstly have you put a jpeg image in the tomtom folder on your phone (not on the sim card?) that should get you past the i agree stage, however you will probably still have problem with tomtom locking up, you have got the 5.2 update? You need to email orange developers to get the app unlock program that will be specific to your imei number, you will then need to get the SDA unlock application and run this to fully unlock your phone, if this wont run you will need to get the software to CID unlock your phone (SPV services) once you have done this you may not need to install the imate rom. I finished doing the above yesteday and went out for a trial run and it didnt crash once, so fingers crossed!!! Hope this helps ;)
Guest jutley Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 yes the tomtom expert is here do not fear mr robster explained perfectly what needs to be done if you find my popular post here in applications all about tomtom 5.20 you shoudnt have a problem you only need to apply the app unlock utility from orange developers to get tomtom working thats all good luck.
