Guest unknownman_007 Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Okay, let me start out by saying what I have now. Currently, I've got a T-Mobile SDA (unlocked) with a 2gb Mini-SD card, and I LOVE IT! It replaced my x50v, my RAZR, and my iPod! I abandoned my x50v because it's simply two big. No point in having it in my pocket when it's so bulky! I love everything about the SDA except there is no QWERTY keyboard! I'm possibly looking for a device that's small, MUST HAVE WIFI, QWERTY keyboard, expansion slot for my music. Like I said, looking to replace my phone, PDA, and my iPod. The SDA did that all except the QWERTY thumbboard. If you guys know of any device that can meet my criteria, I would be really thankful. Again, thumbboard, WiFi, and small! The Treo would be great, but there isn't any WiFi! Also, I live in Anchorage, Alaska, so I don't have any of the major nation-wide networks. Thus the need for an unlocked phone... <_< Thanks!
Guest w411y Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Check out the imate KJam http://www.clubimate.com/t-DETAILS_KJAM.aspx Also, check out these upcoming devices. The Samsung SGH i320 and the Motorola Q http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news2340.html
Guest unknownman_007 Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Hmmmm, I'm normally a guy who doesn't wait for his devices. Also, the K-Jam seems a little big? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 K-jam is not that big at all compared to the SDA. I use the Vario from Tmobile as my main device, this is basically the same phone (HTC Wizard) and it fits in the pocket without any problems.
Guest unknownman_007 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Would the K-Jam be just as good of a media device as the SDA? Curious... thanks!
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 If not better as ther is a wider range of applications for the Pocket PC than the Smartphone. For it's size this is really the only device for you unless you want to wait for the updated version (Vario2) but that has not been released as yeet.
Guest w411y Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) This thing is not big at all ! Up top.... Edited May 8, 2006 by w411y
Guest chrisbpr Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 i went from a c500 to an mda vario & dont regret it one bit...its the perfect all-in-one device ( for now).
