Make Withheld Numbers ring silently ?

In Windows Mobile there is a custom ringtone option in Contacts. I have created a silent .wav file to enable calls from certain people to "ring" silently. I'd like to set this up for Withheld / Anonymous numbers aswell - is it possible ?

On my V3i you can create a contact called "Private" with a PAUSE (p) for the number, and then assign this contact a silent ring and it works. So far I have tried a contact named "Private", "Withheld" and "Unknown" in my contacts list and assigning them my silent ring, but my phone rings for all of them ! I can't believe a Moto phone has a feature that a WM5 phone does not ! I'm trying to achieve this natively in WM5 without using 3rd party software.

Anyone any idea what contact combination will work ?

sounds interesting but I don't think its possible to do that from the contacts.... not even the Sounds menu, maybe if u get a third party application u can enable custom rings for unknown users... I know theres different programs like "SMART Filter" that allow you to block unknown callers, maybe theres an option there for custom ring tones but I don't think its possible through the OS.

There is a program called 'Eye On Call'. There is a possibility this could do what you are looking for, but I don't know for sure. Looks like there is a demo version available if you want to test it.

Anyone out there that could confirm whether or not Eye On Call can give a silent ring for all calls from unknown numbers?

The link for the program is:

Thanks - I am aware of a few external programs that will do what I want - my post was really about achieving it within Windows Mobile 5 directly. I can get the silent ringtone for use with specific callers in my Contacts, the problem is finding a way of getting Withheld/Unknown numbers to be recognised as a contact. (As I mentioned it can be done on my razr by creating a contact called 'Private' with a pause as the number..)
