V1240 (sp5, 8310) and Pocket MSN

hi guys,

i've just taken delivery of a nice new vodafone v1240 and am impressed so far.

one problem, i've tried to install Pocket MSN (since it doesnt come on the phone) from the offical MSN site and i get an error message before it even installs, saying it doesnt recognise any windows mobile devices connected to the computer and that i need to turn on activesync and connect the phone.

I do indeed have the phone connected to the computer and activesync running.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone had this problem before?

Hi, a long shot here. try a complete uninstall of activsync, run a reg cleaner, then re-install. I've had problems similar to yours and this action has sorted it. Keep us posted. Ian
