Guest b33k34 Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Someone asked me to text them a phone number yesterday and i was completely stumped. There doesn't appear to be any 'send as sms' on the contacts (Nokia phones have a simple menu item). Next idea was to 'copy' the phone number - ie select the number, menu, copy. I then opened a new text message and tried to paste it in but there was no paste option on the menu. I ended up getting a piece of paper, writing the number down, and copying it back into the text. Any suggestions for the future? I use block recogniser. Palm graffiti has shortcut gestures for cut /copy/paste. are there any in WM05?
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 If you use the Keyboard you can use CTRL + V to paste even when there is no Paste option on the context menu. I haven't played with it, but you can send a contact (all their details, no way to select content) as a vCard - that use MMS for some reason.
Guest fraser Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 If you use the Keyboard you can use CTRL + V to paste even when there is no Paste option on the context menu. That's a really useful hack, well worth remembering as it works in most apps that "forgot" to enable the menu for it. Use CTRL-C and CTRL-X for copy/cut as well.
