Guest chucky.egg Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I just went to find new homescreens for our Smartphones and discovered this: PLEASE READ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm very sorry, but "Micro S." marketing staff informed me today (Tuesday Mai 11, 2006) that I'm not allowed to make homescreens or show pictures which use any of their trade names, photos or logo. Unfortunately every screenshot shows their logo at the lower left corner which makes it impossible for me to continue my site. Sorry, kl1wdr http://smartphone.kleinweder.ch/downloads/index.php Is "Micro S." Microsoft? What the hell are they thinking? Kleinweder is IMO the undisputed king of homescreens. He's been producing great work for as long as I've been using Smartphones. Does anyone have a good email address for MS so that I can put them straight?
Guest w411y Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 ;) What are they playing at? Its not as if he's selling them neither and I'm sure his skins encourage others to stay with or join the smartphone platform. Im gunna keep my site going unless they contact me.
Guest drblow Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 That's outrageous & scary at the same time. Surely there must be a mistake ... MS couldn't be so blind that they would do that to the biggest, bestest homescreen designer??? ;)

Yeah with any luck they wont contact you regarding your excellent themes.. if they do - let us know, I'd be more than prepared to host them for you.
Guest BrAGoL Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 well, how about the works of MVP GPCarreon that also uses some of MS logo? is he going to pull it out in his site also? just wondering...
Guest richard25 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 [Microsoft are not looking at this in the correct way they should be giving Kl1wdr a pat on the back for being able to market their product out to a world wide ordience and thus making more sales for microsoft products etc. Typical Mcrosoft flexing their muscles again, instead of this tiny situation they should be looking into more serious problems that are current with their products etc. Keep going kw1dr we are all behind you mate. regards Badger
