Guest The-Bimse Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Hello. Im having a problem with my Qtek 8020. I went into the sms menu and i wanted to import my messages from my sim card. The effect was, that it freezed at then i could only take out the battery. After that i tryed to turn it on again. First it showed the Qtek startup screen, then the Windows Mobile startup screen and in the end the mobile company startup screen. But when it were at the last one, it did just restart after 5-10 seconds. I have tryed to take out my SD card and then turn it on and ive tryed some other things. But it just dont wanna work. I hope someone knows the answar to what i can do, because i would rather not make a Hard Reset on it, because of all my personal informations, numbers and messages will be lost. // Benjamin Eriksen PS: Im sorry about the bad English ;)
Guest xda_gangsta Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 If its not turning on, you can't really do nothing about it. I had the same problem and even a hard reset didn't work for me = send for repair. It looks like you know how to do a hardreset, so I would go ahead and do one. In the future, you might also consider backing up your contacts etc. on Outlook via sync, that way you won't lose them in the future. I'm afraid I can't think of a resolution other than a hardreset (I don't even think there is one)...anyone else?
Guest The-Bimse Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Ive made a hard reset. I couldt wait any longer without a mobile. And i was lucky, it works now. But i still dont get, what could make the error. Damn it's weird. About taking backups of my contacts, i normally do that ;) But i have only had this phone for 1 week so i didnt ekspect any errors like this.
