homescreen plugin

I would like to have the current song playbacked in Windows Media 10 displayed on the home screen in some kind of plugin.. Will this be possible?

A guy made a plugin once which was designed for media player 9 and it let you view the song on the homescreen but I dont think he ever got round to making an update as he lost the source code.
