Guest farmgorgon Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Apologies- naive newbie question. I've had a M600 for about 3 weeks and now regularly get a "Storage memory is critically low". It is- I've got about 0.5 mb spare on storage memory and 10 mb on Program memory. I've just fitted a 2gb SD card. Do I need to start moving programs onto it to free up some storage space? How do I do this? I haven't filled the thing with videos or mp3's or anything, so I don't know why it should suddenly be short of memory. I do a lot of browsing- is it temp file that has filled it up? thanks v much.
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Unless you have a HUGE number of (or a few VERY large) applications then it's more likely to be your temp Internet Explorer files I suspect. Check your cache: \ Windows \ Profiles \ Guest \ Temporary Internet Files \ Content.IE5 You can safely delete anything that appears in/under that folder. These apps are quite large (+/- 2Mb), so if you have them installed locally you might want to reinstall to the SD card. CoPilot, TomTom, Adobe Acrobat, Sprite Backup, Spb Time, Spb PocketPlus, DevOne CodeWallet, (there are others too, these are just examples)
