I got my shiny new SPV M600 today at work. I connected it to my PC at work and having installed the new Activesync 4.1 got it to sync ok, though actually I only wanted to copy some files and set it not to sync anything. When I got home I installed Activesync 4.1 on my home PC but the blasted M600 won't connect to my home PC. It just there saying Connecting. It is my home PC that I have my contacts and stuff backed up on, so it is vital that I get it to work. I have tried numerous reinstalls, deleted the info about the previous sync at work on the device, have checked the Network Connections details as recommended in another post, but no difference at all.

Any clues, the phone's pretty useless if I can't use Activesync?

I don't know the answer but have the same problem.

If I want my M600 to sync I have to turn off my firewall and then connect he phone. After it has sync'd I turn the firewall back on.

This is inconvenient but does the job.

Would be interested if anyone has a solution. I have checked the firewall settings and it looks as if Activsync should be OK.

If you use the small application usb switch then your problem is over as you choose serial as the connection and it works without a problem ;)

You beauty, that's enabled me to connect it. Maybe I won't be sending it back after all !

Not working for me. My M600 had been connecting ok with ActiveSync until I removed all 5 relationships and reset the M600 ID to Prophet.

Any suggestions?

I have tried reinstalling AS 4.1 and the 4.2 beta, no joy.

The M600 will not connect to my laptop or desktop, whereas my Wizard connects to both. Therefore it is a setting on the M600 that is stopping AS working. I have searched all over but can't find the setting.

I suspect the device ID is not acceptable. I think it was working until I changed the DeviceID to Prophet. I have subsequently tried WM_1, WM_AB1 etc but it still doesn't connect. Is there a specific format for the DeviceID?

After a hard reset the M600 will successfully connect with ActiveSync.

The deviceID is set at WM_ALCP1 on it's first sync.

After restoring my backup, not surprisingly it will not sync. I have tried using deviceID WM_ALCP1 but no joy. The PC detects the connection but just gives up after a while.

Is there some fix to flush the PPC of all the ActiveSync settings and starting again without a hard reset?
